On Tuesday, Golf: Tee It Up, a new XBLA game available for 800 Microsoft points was released. I figured I’d give it a try. I was actually very pleased with it as it’s extremely fun to play especially online. It reminds me a lot of Hot Shots Golf for those familiar with that title, but it has a little extra twist. On each hole you are given 4 seconds to make adjustments to the path of the ball and the time actually carries over. So if you hit a bad shot to the left, you can pull the thumb stick to the right and correct the path of the ball. It works even better when you hit a great shot because you can make it precise and aim for that hole in one. One of the courses, Caribbean, is fairly easy, while Parkland is pretty difficult (with lots of Par 5 and Par 6 holes).
I enjoyed the game quite a bit and expect that it’ll be something I play often when I’m bored and want to just play something quick. Golf: Tee It Up has my recommendation.
