MMA Saturday!

A great night to be an MMA fan – which to watch, the UFC on Spike or Affliction on pay-per-view. Wound up watching Affliction, while recording UFC on my DVR. The Affliction card was absolutely stacked and for the most part, I enjoyed all the matches. Josh Barnett & Andrei Arlovski both looked very impressive. Main event showed Fedor absolutely demolish Tim Sylvia in under 40 seconds. Fedor is a treat to watch and during the post fight interview, he mentioned his desire to fight Randy Couture in the future. Hopefully Couture works out his issues and the match takes place.

UFC had some good matches as well, but more specifically how impressive Anderson Silva was moving up a weight class to 205. Another match that lasted about a minute, catching a kick and then just showering his opponent with strikes to the face.

Sleepless Night

Friday night I was unable to sleep as I wasn’t feeling too well. It’s odd because sometimes my medication absolutely knocks me out and other times it is the complete opposite and even though I am flat out exhausted, I don’t sleep. I did a little bit of gaming, playing Beijing Olympics 2008 with a group of 8 on XBox Live and then played a little bit of Don King’s Prizefighter. I actually enjoyed both games, but the controller actions in Beijing kind of suck and make it pretty difficult.

I finally wounding up watching Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me at like 3AM. I hadn’t seen it in quite a while and it was still as funny as the other times I’ve watched it. I don’t remember what came on after it, but I started watching that and finally fell asleep.
